Scope 1, 2, 3 Emissions
At EverGen, sustainability is at the heart of our mission. Our operations focus on RNG and composting solutions, designed to reduce waste, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and promote a circular economy. Here is an overview of EverGen's Scope 1, 2, and developing Scope 3 emission reporting.
Scope 1
Definition and Protocol:
Scope 1 emissions include all direct GHG emissions from sources that are owned and controlled by EverGen. Managing Scope 1 emissions is a critical aspect of our sustainability strategy, as they are the most significant and directly controllable emission sources.
Total Operational GHG Emissions in 2023:

Total GHG emissions from fossil fuels: 1,923.83 tCO2e
Total GHG emissions from biogenic sources: 586.40 tCO2e

Scope 2
Definition and Protocol:
Scope 2 emissions include indirect GHG emissions from the consumption of purchased electricity, steam or cooling. These emissions are generated at the production site of the electricity or energy purchased.

Scope 3
Definition and Protocol:
EverGen is actively evaluating the best methods to compile and report our Scope 3 emissions. Scope 3 includes all other indirect emissions that occur in our value chain, such as those from the production of purchased goods and services, waste disposal, and employee commuting.
